## Summary

Amsterdam UMC Biobank was established in 2014 to support researchers in setting up biobanks that meet current ethical and quality standards. As one of Amsterdam UMC's core facilities it provides storage for biological materials (tissues, cells, sera, plasma, liquor, urine, faeces, DNA and RNA), logistics and data management, and runs the central ultra-low-temperature freezer sites.
