## Summary

Angela Lamarca trained and worked at The Christie in Manchester before moving to Madrid. She was first author of the 2021 Lancet Oncology report of ABC-06, the UK trial that showed FOLFOX plus active symptom control lengthened survival compared with symptom control alone after gemcitabine and cisplatin in advanced biliary tract cancer, establishing a second-line standard. She also works on neuroendocrine tumours.
