## Summary

The Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center is the cancer centre of Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, and one of the largest community cancer programmes in Texas. Its director, Ronan Kelly, was first author of the 2021 New England Journal of Medicine report of CheckMate 577, in which adjuvant nivolumab lengthened disease-free survival after chemoradiotherapy and surgery for oesophageal and gastro-oesophageal junction cancer. It is unrelated to Baylor College of Medicine's Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center in Houston.
