## Summary

Bowel Research UK (registered charity 1186061, registered office at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Lincoln's Inn Fields) funds research into bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and other bowel disorders. Its site says it is funding around 30 research projects and PhDs across the UK, that most individual grants are around 50,000 pounds, enough for proof of concept, and that it has invested 3 million pounds in research since 2020, with 62 pence of every pound spent going to charitable work including research. It runs Take PaRT, its patient and public involvement programme, alongside a grants committee and a scientific advisory committee that includes practising bowel surgeons.
