CanariaBio is a South Korean biotech that took over oregovomab, an antibody against the ovarian cancer marker CA-125 that is given with chemotherapy to prime an immune response against the tumour.

## Summary

CanariaBio acquired the oregovomab programme from OncoQuest of Edmonton, Canada. Oregovomab (MAb-B43.13) binds circulating CA-125 and, given at the same time as carboplatin and paclitaxel, forms immune complexes that induce CA-125-specific T-cell responses. After a phase 2 trial suggested longer progression-free survival, the phase 3 FLORA-5 trial in newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer read out in 2024 without meeting its primary endpoint.
