# CEACAM5 expression

## TL;DR

CEACAM5 is the cell-surface form of the tumour marker CEA, high on many lung and bowel cancers. Tusamitamab ravtansine was tested in CEACAM5-high lung cancer but failed its phase 3 and no approval exists.

## Summary

The CARMEN-LC03 trial (NCT04154956) selected non-squamous NSCLC with CEACAM5 expression at 2+ intensity in 50 percent or more of tumour cells by IHC; it did not meet its endpoints and development stopped in 2023. Newer CEACAM5 ADCs and bispecifics are in early trials with similar IHC gates. No label names CEACAM5.
