## Summary

CELESTIAL-TNCLL, trial NCT06073821 sponsored by BeOne, formerly BeiGene, is the phase 3 that tests the next-generation all-oral doublet of sonrotoclax and zanubrutinib against the fixed-duration standard of venetoclax plus obinutuzumab in previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, with results expected from late 2026. It follows the BGB-11417-101 study, in which the doublet produced undetectable MRD in almost all treatment-naive patients by week 96 including high-risk genetics, its estimated primary completion is November 2026, and a companion trial tests the doublet against zanubrutinib alone. Whether a second-generation BCL-2 inhibitor improves on venetoclax in a randomised comparison is the question it will answer.
