## TL;DR

The Asian repeat of CORRECT found a larger benefit, partly because fewer patients had already had targeted drugs.

## Summary

CONCUR randomised 204 patients in mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam 2:1 to regorafenib or placebo. Median overall survival was 8.8 against 6.3 months (hazard ratio 0.55, 95% CI 0.40 to 0.77, one-sided p=0.00016). Drug-related adverse events occurred in 97 percent of regorafenib recipients, with grade 3 or higher hand-foot skin reaction in 16 percent and hypertension in 11 percent. Fewer patients had received prior targeted therapy than in CORRECT, which may explain the larger effect, and the trial is why regorafenib carries a strong recommendation in Asian guidelines.
