## TL;DR

CXCR5 is what draws immune cells into the follicles where B cells are trained. The same signal builds the lymph-node-like structures that sometimes form inside tumours and are linked to better outcomes.

## Summary

CXCR5 binds CXCL13 and is the receptor that organises cells into B cell follicles, carried by B cells and by the follicular helper T cells that support them. Its relevance to cancer is through tertiary lymphoid structures, the organised immune aggregates that form within some tumours and are associated with response to checkpoint blockade; CXCL13 and CXCR5 are part of how those structures assemble.
