# Duke cryocompression trial in gynaecological cancer

## TL;DR

Women having chemotherapy for gynaecological cancers wore a cooling-and-compression device. It reduced the numbness they reported, though a nerve test showed no difference.

## Summary

The Duke trial enrolled 91 patients and analysed 69. Cryocompression lowered the odds of patient-reported sensory neuropathy (odds ratio 0.54, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.31 to 0.94), with no difference on monofilament testing. A second cohort is registered as NCT06139458.
