## TL;DR

EORTC 26951, the European twin of RTOG 9402, confirmed that PCV chemotherapy after radiotherapy greatly lengthens survival in 1p/19q co-deleted oligodendrogliomas.

## Summary

EORTC 26951 randomised 368 patients with anaplastic oligodendroglioma or oligoastrocytoma to 59.4 Gy radiotherapy with or without six cycles of adjuvant PCV. With a median follow-up of nearly 12 years, overall survival improved with PCV (42.3 versus 30.6 months overall); in 1p/19q co-deleted tumours median survival was not reached with PCV versus 112 months with radiotherapy alone (van den Bent and colleagues, Journal of Clinical Oncology 2013).
