## TL;DR

eRapa is a new form of the drug rapamycin from Biodexa Pharmaceuticals, designed to be absorbed more reliably. It is in a large trial in an inherited condition that causes many bowel polyps, and a smaller trial in early bladder cancer.

## Summary

eRapa, licensed by Biodexa Pharmaceuticals from Emtora Biosciences in April 2024, is in a double-blind, placebo-controlled registrational phase 3 study in 168 patients with familial adenomatous polyposis, randomised 2:1, at about 30 sites in the United States and Europe; the first patients enrolled in August 2025 and recruitment passed the half-way point in August 2026. An investigator-initiated phase 2 study in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer is being conducted by the University of Texas, San Antonio. Biodexa announced FDA fast track designation for eRapa on 10 February 2025.
