## Summary

The FDA approved it as Cosela in February 2021 to reduce chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression in extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer; a phase 3 trial in triple-negative breast cancer (PRESERVE 2) did not improve survival. Pharmacosmos, the Danish iron-medicine company, acquired G1 in 2024. It appears on OnCo as a lead sponsor of phase 3 cancer trials on ClinicalTrials.gov.
