## Summary

Bracco's MultiHance (NDA 021357, first approved 23 November 2004) is indicated for MRI of the central nervous system "to visualize lesions with abnormal blood-brain barrier or abnormal vascularity of the brain, spine, and associated tissues" and for MR angiography of renal and aorto-ilio-femoral vessels. ATC V08CA08 (gadobenic acid). Like every gadolinium-based contrast agent in the United States, its label carries a boxed warning on the risks of intrathecal use and nephrogenic systemic fibrosis, a thickening of skin and organs seen in people with severe kidney disease.
