## Summary

Hansjochen Wilke is a gastrointestinal oncologist at Kliniken Essen-Mitte. He was first author of the 2014 Lancet Oncology report of RAINBOW, which showed that adding the VEGFR2 antibody ramucirumab to paclitaxel lengthened overall survival compared with paclitaxel alone in advanced gastric or gastro-oesophageal junction adenocarcinoma after first-line therapy.
