In January 2024 the predecessor Inhibrx, Inc. agreed to sell INBRX-101, a recombinant alpha-1 antitrypsin for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, to Sanofi for 30 US dollars per share in cash plus a 5 US dollar contingent value right (about 2.2 billion US dollars aggregate value). Immediately before that merger closed on 30 May 2024, the non-101 assets (INBRX-105, INBRX-106, INBRX-109) were spun out into Inhibrx Biosciences, which received 200 million US dollars in cash, has Sanofi as an 8 percent holder and trades on Nasdaq as INBX.
