John Strickler is a gastrointestinal medical oncologist at Duke Cancer Institute. He was first author of the 2023 Lancet Oncology report of MOUNTAINEER, the phase 2 trial in which tucatinib plus trastuzumab produced durable responses in chemotherapy-refractory HER2-positive, RAS wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer, leading to accelerated approval. He also led early work on sotorasib in KRAS G12C colorectal cancer and studies ctDNA to guide therapy.
