## TL;DR

LM-299 is an experimental antibody that blocks two things at once: PD-1, a brake on the immune system, and VEGF, which feeds tumour blood vessels. LaNova Medicines discovered it and Merck licensed it in 2024, where it is called MK-2010.

## Summary

LM-299 is a bispecific antibody made of an anti-VEGF antibody linked to two C-terminal single-domain anti-PD-1 antibodies, designed to inhibit both PD-1/PD-L1 and VEGF/VEGFR signalling. Merck & Co. announced an exclusive global licence from LaNova Medicines on 14 November 2024, with a USD 588 million payment due at closing; a phase 1 trial was then enrolling in China. LaNova's phase 1/2 trial (NCT06650566) started in October 2024 in advanced solid tumours. ClinicalTrials.gov lists LM-299 as another name for Merck's MK-2010, which Merck is testing in phase 2 trials in advanced solid tumours, alone or with other treatments (NCT07793942) and with sacituzumab tirumotecan (NCT07785609). ## Fields

- Kind: Treatment
- Status: phase-2
- Last checked: 2026-11-03
- Also known as: MK-2010
- Tags: pipeline; deal-asset
- Code: MK-2010
- Modality: Bispecific antibody (PD-1 x VEGF)
- Mechanism: An antibody against VEGF joined to two small single-domain antibodies against PD-1. It is designed to release the PD-1 brake on immune cells and, at the same time, block the VEGF signal that tumours use to grow new blood vessels.
