## TL;DR

A liver MRI dye based on manganese that was authorised in Europe from 1997 to 2012 for finding liver metastases and liver cancer, and is no longer available.

## Summary

The EMA register lists Teslascan (GE Healthcare AS, EMEA/H/C/000137), authorised on 22 May 1997 as a "Contrast medium for diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the detection of lesions of the liver suspected to be due to metastatic disease or hepatocellular carcinomas" and an adjunct for focal pancreatic lesions, with the authorisation withdrawn on 21 June 2012. ATC V08CA05. Liver-specific imaging is now done with gadoxetate.
