## TL;DR

These criteria define response for overlap diseases such as chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia, which have features of both myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative neoplasms.

## Summary

Myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasms in adults have no standard treatment for most patients. An international panel sponsored by the MDS Foundation, through three workshops in 2013 and 2014 (Savona and colleagues, Blood 2015), proposed uniform response criteria for clinical trials that account for both the dysplastic and the proliferative features of these diseases.
