## TL;DR

Anktiva is a bladder-instilled immune booster given with BCG for early bladder cancer that has stopped responding to BCG, offering many patients a way to keep their bladder rather than have it removed.

## Summary

Nogapendekin alfa inbakicept (Anktiva, formerly N-803) is an engineered version of interleukin-15, a signal that drives natural killer and killer T cells. It is instilled into the bladder together with BCG for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer with carcinoma in situ that has become unresponsive to BCG, a setting where the standard alternative is removal of the bladder. In the single-arm QUILT-3.032 trial most patients with carcinoma in situ had a complete response and many responses lasted more than a year. The FDA approved it in April 2024. In England NICE published a terminated evaluation in June 2026, so it is not routinely funded there.
