Obi L. Griffith is Associate Professor of Medicine and Assistant Director of the McDonnell Genome Institute at Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University. He is a computational biologist who co-leads CIViC, DoCM and pVACtools, the open tooling that lets clinicians interpret tumour sequencing, and the ClinGen somatic working group. His selected paper describes CIViC as a community knowledgebase for expert crowdsourcing the clinical interpretation of variants in cancer. He continues to work on clinical genomics, variant interpretation and open-source bioinformatics.
