## TL;DR

An Indian blood test that reads thousands of small molecules in serum; its developer reports about 98% accuracy for 30 cancers, figures that have not been checked independently.

## Summary

PredOmix Technologies of Gurugram, India, with a Singapore affiliate, has published a version for four cancers in women (Gupta et al., Scientific Reports 2022), a version for 15 cancers in women reported as identifying all cancer-positive samples with more than 99% accuracy (Gupta et al., Scientific Reports 2023), and, in an investigator-initiated trial with HCG cancer centres of 6,445 people (CTRI/2023/03/050316; Nagarkar et al., Cancer Reports 2024), a version for 30 cancers in women and men with an average accuracy of about 98% that did not vary by stage. A study of OncoVeryx-F for ovarian cancer (Nagarkar et al., International Journal of Women's Health 2024) reported stage I detection accuracy above 98%. None of the abstracts gives sensitivity at a stated specificity, cancers counted by type and stage, or a screening-population result. Company employees wrote the papers. No CDSCO or other regulatory status, availability or price was found.

## Fields

- Kind: Test
- Status: emerging
- Last checked: 2026-11-03
- Also known as: OncoVeryx-F; PredOmix metabolome test
- Tags: test; mced; evidence:insufficient
- Brand: OncoVeryx
- Modality: Multi-cancer early detection blood test (serum metabolomics with machine learning)
- Mechanism: Untargeted mass spectrometry of serum metabolites, classified by machine learning first as cancer or no cancer and then by tissue of origin.

## Notes

- Evidence grade insufficient for the claim that taking this test reduces late-stage diagnosis or cancer deaths: no randomised trial of it has reported either outcome, and its published performance comes from case-control or single-arm studies. The only randomised result for any multi-cancer test, NHS-Galleri, did not show fewer stage III or IV cancers.
- Accuracy near 98 to 99% at every stage would be far above any other multi-cancer test; the figures are developer-reported and not independently replicated.
- What a result means: a positive result is a reason for further tests, not a diagnosis; a negative result does not rule cancer out and does not replace the screening tests that have been shown to work (bowel, breast, cervical and, where eligible, lung screening).
