## TL;DR

A UK charity for men affected by testicular, penile and prostate cancer, with nurse-led support, awareness campaigns and research.

## Summary

Orchid was founded in 1996 by Colin Osborne MBE, a testicular cancer patient, and Professor Tim Oliver, the oncologist who treated him. It works on testicular, penile and prostate cancer through support services led by male cancer information nurse specialists, awareness campaigns such as Orchid Male Cancer Awareness Week, education and training, and a research programme that includes the Robert Lane Tissue Bank. Its register entry says over 58,000 men are diagnosed with these three cancers in the UK each year. The Charity Commission register records latest income of about £0.7 million for the year ending 30 September 2025.
