## TL;DR

Sachets put in the bag that turn watery output into gel, and drops or sprays that cut down on smell, used mostly with an ileostomy.

## Summary

Part IXC of the NHS Drug Tariff lists 13 rows of ostomy discharge solidifying agents in November 2026 (for example Absorbian sachets from Charles S Bullen Stomacare, Morform sachets and ConvaTec's Esenta Diamonds) and 46 rows of ostomy deodorants (for example Respond's Neutralise, Day-drop and Coloplast Brava). Gelling agents make high-output bags easier to empty and less likely to leak; they do not reduce how much fluid is lost, which matters for dehydration with a high-output ileostomy and is managed medically.
