## TL;DR

Updating the 1997 classification with nearly 10,000 modern patients showed that survival has improved in every risk group, especially poor risk, and added age, lung metastases and LDH as continuous factors to refine individual prediction.

## Summary

Analysis of 9,728 men with metastatic non-seminomatous germ cell tumours treated with cisplatin-based chemotherapy between 1990 and 2013 at 30 institutions, validating the IGCCCG groups and developing a refined model incorporating age, presence of lung metastases and LDH as a continuous variable.

Five-year progression-free survival was 89, 75 and 54 percent and overall survival 96, 89 and 67 percent for good, intermediate and poor prognosis groups.
