## Summary

PRECEDE (the Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection Consortium) is a prospective observational cohort registered by Arbor Research Collaborative for Health and run across more than 40 academic centres. It enrols people at high risk of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, including carriers of germline pathogenic variants, members of familial pancreatic cancer kindreds, people with pancreatic cysts and cohorts with new-onset diabetes, in defined cohorts with protocol-driven surveillance imaging and longitudinal biospecimen collection. The primary outcome is the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma; the consortium's stated aim is to raise five-year survival by detecting the disease at a curable stage.

The registry lists an estimated 20,000 participants with completion in 2030 and no results. With the older CAPS programme it defines high-risk surveillance on the corpus's pancreatic cancer page.
