## TL;DR

For men whose prostate cancer is being watched rather than treated, the PRECISE score on a repeat MRI rates from 1 to 5 how likely it is that the cancer has really changed since the last scan.

## Summary

A European panel using the RAND/UCLA method (Moore and colleagues, European Urology 2017) wrote the Prostate Cancer Radiological Estimation of Change in Sequential Evaluation recommendations for MRI during active surveillance. The radiologist records the size of the index lesion at baseline and at every later MRI and scores the likelihood of true change over time, in size or appearance, on a 1 to 5 scale. The panel built the checklist largely on expert consensus where data were lacking and expected it to change as evidence accrued.
