## Summary

Changsong Qi is Associate Professor of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Peking University Cancer Hospital in Beijing. He was first author of the CT041 trials, which showed that a CAR-T cell therapy directed at Claudin 18.2, now named satricabtagene autoleucel, can shrink gastric and pancreatic tumours. Working with Lin Shen, he led the clinical conduct of the phase 1 and phase 2 studies, and his publications include the interim results of Claudin 18.2-specific CAR T cells in gastrointestinal cancers. He continues to work on immunotherapy and early-phase trials for gastric cancer.
