A National Institute of Public Health press release of 17 November 2025 says Ministry of Health order 3735/2024 now sets the screening methodology, and that a regional pilot introduced HPV testing in four regions (North-West, North-East, South-Muntenia and Centre), aimed at 680,000 women aged 25 to 64.
