## Summary

Shannon Westin is a gynaecologic oncologist and clinical trialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was first author of the 2023 Journal of Clinical Oncology report of DUO-E, the phase 3 trial in which durvalumab with carboplatin and paclitaxel, followed by durvalumab with or without olaparib maintenance, improved progression-free survival in newly diagnosed advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer, with the largest benefit in mismatch repair-deficient tumours.
