## TL;DR

Singapore's community cancer charity: screening, financial help with treatment costs, cancer rehabilitation centres, survivorship support and hospice care, run from its headquarters at the National Cancer Centre Singapore.

## Summary

The Singapore Cancer Society was formed by members of the Rotary Club of Singapore West, the Lions Club and the Jaycees, and marked its 60th anniversary in 2024; its UICC profile gives 1964 as the founding year. In March 2023 it moved its headquarters into the National Cancer Centre Singapore, bringing screening, rehabilitation, survivorship and hospice services under one roof, and it runs the NCCS-SCS Rehabilitation Centre there and a second rehabilitation centre with the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. Its history page records the SCS Cancer Treatment Fund for patients in financial need, free mammograms for eligible older women holding a Health Assist card, an HPV education and immunisation programme, and its role as a founding member of the Singapore Hospice Council. UICC lists it as a Full Member.
