## TL;DR

STX-001 is an experimental self-replicating mRNA in lipid nanoparticle from Strand Therapeutics, in phase 1 trials for melanoma, advanced solid tumours and triple-negative breast cancer and other cancers.

## Summary

STX-001 is a self-replicating mRNA in lipid nanoparticle (intratumoural) from Strand Therapeutics. A lipid nanoparticle-encapsulated self-replicating mRNA that makes tumour cells express interleukin-12, injected into tumours. Its furthest stage is phase 1, for melanoma, advanced solid tumours, triple-negative breast cancer and head and neck cancer. ClinicalTrials.gov registers it in one study linked below. Phase 1/2 recruiting since May 2024 (registry), alone and with pembrolizumab. Whether it works in people has not been established unless a trial below reports it.
