## Summary

TruSight Oncology 500 is Illumina's comprehensive genomic profiling kit. Version 2 sequences DNA from 523 genes and RNA from 55 genes from formalin-fixed tissue, detecting single-nucleotide variants, copy number changes, insertions and deletions, fusions and large BRCA1/2 rearrangements, and reports microsatellite instability and tumour mutational burden, in 3 to 4 days from sample to result. Homologous recombination deficiency analysis, a genomic instability score combining loss of heterozygosity, telomeric allelic imbalance and large-scale state transitions powered by Myriad Genetics, is built into the workflow and licensed separately. A ctDNA version analyses plasma with similar DNA content. The kit is for research use only and not for diagnostic procedures; Illumina's FDA-approved diagnostic panel is TruSight Oncology Comprehensive.
