## Summary

Yasmine Belkaid is President of the Institut Pasteur, the Paris-based private non-profit foundation for biomedical research, education and public health. She previously headed the Mucosal Immunology Unit and directed the Microbiome programme at the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and held an adjunct professorship at the University of Pennsylvania.
