T cells carrying a synthetic logic gate that needs two proteins present together: PSMA on the tumour's blood vessels and carbonic anhydrase 9 on the tumour cells next to them. They also carry shRNAs against immunosuppressive signals in the tumour and a synthetic pathway activator. Its furthest stage is phase 1, for clear-cell renal cell carcinoma. ClinicalTrials.gov registers it in one study linked below. Phase 1/2 NCT06245915 is active, not recruiting (37 enrolled). On 31 August 2026 the company announced a new focus on in vivo CAR-T and said data from its autologous solid-tumour programmes would be presented later; it did not say AB-2100 was discontinued. Whether it works in people has not been established unless a trial below reports it.","status":"phase-1","asOf":"2026-11-03","links":[{"label":"Arsenal Biosciences: arsenalbio.com","url":"https://arsenalbio.com/2024/04/30/arsenal-biosciences-announces-first-patient-dosed-in-phase-1-2-clinical-trial-of-ab-2100-in-development-as-a-treatment-for-clear-cell-renal-cell-carcinoma/"},{"label":"Arsenal Biosciences: arsenalbio.com","url":"https://arsenalbio.com/2024/04/30/arsenal-biosciences-announces-first-patient-dosed-in-phase-1-2-clinical-trial-of-ab-2100-in-development-as-a-treatment-for-clear-cell-renal-cell-carcinoma/"},{"label":"Arsenal Biosciences: arsenalbio.com","url":"https://arsenalbio.com/2026/08/31/arsenalbio-announces-new-focus-on-in-vivo-car-t-programs-to-leverage-investment-in-t-cell-engineering/"},{"label":"Arsenal Biosciences: clinicaltrials.gov","url":"https://clinicaltrials.gov/api/v2/studies/NCT06245915"},{"label":"ClinicalTrials.gov: trials of AB-2100","url":"https://clinicaltrials.gov/search?intr=AB-2100"}],"tags":["pipeline","ctgov-ingest"],"related":[],"cancers":["clear-cell-rcc"],"sections":[],"technologies":[],"targets":["psma"],"drugs":[],"companies":["arsenal-bio"],"institutions":[],"pathways":[],"terms":[],"trials":["nct06245915"],"people":[],"bottlenecks":[],"keyPapers":[],"journals":[],"dependsOn":[],"notes":[],"provenance":{"editedBy":"OnCo gap audit, class 5 (company pipeline pages and ClinicalTrials.gov v2)","editedOn":"2026-11-03"},"code":"AB-2100","modality":"Autologous Integrated Circuit T (ICT) cell therapy, CRISPR-engineered, logic-gated CAR-T","mechanism":"T cells carrying a synthetic logic gate that needs two proteins present together: PSMA on the tumour's blood vessels and carbonic anhydrase 9 on the tumour cells next to them.
