Its members are 27 research hospitals with the status of IRCCS (Istituti di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico, the hospitals the ministry recognises and part-funds for research), together with the patient association AIMaC, the Italian Sarcoma Group, the CNAO particle therapy foundation, the national nuclear physics institute INFN, the Fondazione Policlinico di Milano and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, which hosts its offices. It lists 14 national and international projects. It is a member of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes.
