Endoglin signalling was thought to be one way tumours escape VEGF blockade, so the antibody was combined with VEGFR inhibitors. Early-phase results in angiosarcoma with pazopanib were encouraging.\n\nThe randomised phase 3 TAPPAS trial of pazopanib with or without carotuximab in advanced angiosarcoma was stopped in 2019 after an interim analysis showed no improvement in progression-free survival, and the programme ended.
