It started on 27 October 2025 with primary completion expected in February 2028. Its rationale is the BEGONIA arm 7 result (confirmed response 79 percent with the combination regardless of PD-L1) against the TROPION-Breast02 result for the conjugate alone in a 90 percent PD-L1-negative population, and it is the only randomised test of an ADC plus checkpoint inhibitor restricted to PD-L1-negative disease.
