DKMS states that through the registry international registries, search units and transplant centres can find and request 25 per cent of the registered unrelated potential stem cell donors worldwide in one place, and that all new DKMS donors are typed at high resolution by next-generation sequencing.\n\nThe registry also supports transplant centres in countries without a national registry or with limited infrastructure, searching both the DKMS pool and the pool of all WMDA registries on their behalf; it names India, Chile, South Africa and Colombia.
