It was founded in 2017 by chief executive Leila Jaafar-Thiel, with Gustav von Schulthess as medical adviser and co-founder. Its pipeline lists NU101, which binds PSMA, for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, and NU201, an SSTR2 antagonist, for gastroenteropancreatic and bronchopulmonary neuroendocrine tumours, metastatic breast cancer and other SSTR-positive tumours, each as a 61Cu diagnostic and a 67Cu therapeutic, plus an undisclosed programme. The company reported positive Phase I/II results for a copper-based PET diagnostic in neuroendocrine tumours in October 2025, and in October 2026 announced the first patient imaged in a Phase 2 study of 61Cu-NU101 in metastatic prostate cancer. It closed a CHF 79 million (EUR 84 million) Series B in July 2025 and an extension in May 2026 that brought the round to CHF 105 million. Partnerships named in its news include Guerbet, PharmaLogic and, in October 2026, NorthStar for copper-67 supply.","asOf":"2026-11-03","links":[{"label":"Official website","url":"https://nuclidium.com/"},{"label":"About Nuclidium","url":"https://nuclidium.com/about-us/"},{"label":"Pipeline","url":"https://nuclidium.com/pipeline/"},{"label":"Company news, including Series B releases","url":"https://nuclidium.com/news/"}],"tags":[],"related":[],"cancers":["prostate","neuroendocrine","breast-cancer"],"sections":["radiopharma","imaging"],"technologies":["radioligand-therapy","psma-pet","sstr-pet"],"targets":["psma","sstr2"],"drugs":[],"companies":[],"institutions":[],"pathways":[],"terms":[],"trials":[],"people":[],"bottlenecks":[],"keyPapers":[],"journals":[],"dependsOn":[],"notes":["The company news page does not name the Series B lead investors in the text read; its About page shows investor logos including Angelini Ventures, Bayern Kapital, Eurazeo, Kurma, Wellington Partners and NRW Bank.
