GEICAM Spanish Breast Cancer Group

aka GEICAM, Grupo Español de Investigación en Cáncer de Mama

Spain's national breast cancer research group, running adjuvant chemotherapy, endocrine and CDK4/6 inhibitor trials across more than 200 hospitals.

Founded in 1995, GEICAM brings together Spain's breast cancer investigators and has enrolled tens of thousands of patients in academic trials. GEICAM 9906 and 9805 shaped adjuvant taxane use, CIBOMA tested maintenance capecitabine in triple-negative disease, and PARSIFAL and FLIPPER studied palbociclib partners in hormone receptor-positive metastatic cancer. GEICAM co-runs global trials with the Breast International Group and the US cooperative groups and maintains the El Álamo registry and a tumour bank. Its chairman is a member of the OnCo people corpus.
