FertiPROTEKT Netzwerk e.V. was founded in May 2006 because fertility protection techniques were at first offered only at a few expert centres. Its site states that the network now includes more than 150 university and non-university centres and has been extended to Austria and parts of Switzerland. Member centres commit to its standards and quality controls and to taking part in scientific evaluation through a shared register. The site has pages for patients by disease and treatment, for children and adolescents, and a list of contact centres.
