Kanker.nl is the Dutch Cancer Society's (KWF) platform for information, help and contact with others who have had cancer. Its information line (infolijn) listens to people with cancer and those around them, explains tests, treatments, side effects and consequences of cancer, and helps callers work out what they want to ask their doctor; it cannot assess medical results, images or tissue reports. It is open on weekdays except public holidays: phone 0800-0226622 from 12:00 to 17:00, chat from 9:00 to 17:00, and email. The site also lists specialist helplines for particular cancers. The Dutch Cancer Society is a full member of the International Cancer Information Service Group.
