AbCellera, in Vancouver, finds antibodies that could become medicines by screening single immune cells at high speed. It does this for partner companies and for its own medicines, one of which is an antibody for an undisclosed cancer.
AbCellera Biologics, listed on Nasdaq as ABCL and based in Vancouver, describes a platform that integrates biology, computation and engineering to discover and develop antibody-based medicines, growing out of an academic lab where microfluidics and single-cell analysis were applied to antibody discovery. Carl Hansen is founding chief executive and Véronique Lecault is co-founder and chief technology officer. Its own pipeline lists ABCL635 (NK3R, vasomotor symptoms, phase 1/2), ABCL575 (OX40L, atopic dermatitis, phase 1 from the third quarter of 2025), ABCL688 (undisclosed, IND-enabling studies from the second quarter of 2025) and ABCL386, which the company describes as a potential antibody medicine for an undisclosed indication in oncology.
