Best Theratronics of Ottawa makes cobalt-60 teletherapy machines, the Theratron Equinox, still used where linear accelerators are hard to run and maintain.
The Theratron Equinox cobalt-60 unit was cleared by the FDA to MDS Nordion of Ottawa in March 2006 (K053485) in 80 cm and 100 cm configurations and is now sold by Best Theratronics, which also holds clearances for GammaBeam 100 and 500 units (K142219, K150191). OnCo links it to cobalt-60 teletherapy.
