Big Picture Bio builds a computer model of how a tumour, the immune system and the tissue around them interact, and uses it to choose combinations of drugs that are more likely to work together and to stop resistance coming back.
Big Picture Bio is a London company that describes its product as a world model for combination therapy: an AI model of how tumours, immune cells and surrounding tissue interact across disease sites and patient subgroups, used to predict synergistic drug combinations and to keep resistance from re-emerging. It designs combinations of its own, from existing drugs and new approaches, and offers target selection, drug pairing and trial review to pharmaceutical companies and investors. Its initial focus is cancer and immune-mediated disease. It was co-founded by chief executive Kerstin Papenfuss and chief technology officer Mark Hammond, and launched in September 2026 with a GBP 1.5 million pre-seed round co-led by Kadmos Capital and Exceptional Ventures, with Gloucester Ventures and an angel investor, plus GBP 700,000 of non-dilutive funding from Innovate UK's Investor Partnerships Programme.
