Carrum Health
Carrum Health lets employers send workers with cancer to top cancer centres for a single upfront price, with travel and care coordination included and usually no bills for the patient.
Overview
Carrum Health runs a value based Centres of Excellence network for self insured employers, contracting directly with providers on bundled upfront prices with warranties. It launched bundled cancer care in February 2021 with Memorial Sloan Kettering (in person breast and thyroid cancer treatment plus remote pathology review, treatment planning and second opinions for all cancers) and has added City of Hope, UChicago Medicine, Texas Oncology and others, extending value based cancer care to more than 400 facilities. It partners with GRAIL to offer the Galleri multi cancer early detection test and reports employer savings of up to 45 percent per episode. Founded in 2014 and based in San Francisco, Carrum raised a USD 40 million Series A led by Tiger Global in January 2021 and a USD 45 million Series B led by OMERS Growth Equity in May 2023, earmarked for expanding cancer care.
