CellsBin, in Connecticut, makes instruments that find extremely rare cells in a blood sample. One is being developed to follow multiple myeloma from blood instead of repeated bone marrow biopsies.
CellsBin, Inc. develops rare-cell detection and single-cell profiling platforms, sold for research use only. Its Scout product detects and profiles rare therapeutic cells such as CAR-T cells in circulation, and Insight is being developed for blood-based assessment of multiple myeloma, from detection and longitudinal monitoring to risk stratification. A 2026 National Cancer Institute SBIR award funds the detection and isolation of circulating myeloma cells towards a minimally invasive CLIA-certified test; the award abstract describes Insight as combining high-resolution imaging, microfluidics and machine learning.
