Overview
Checkpoint Therapeutics, a Massachusetts company founded within Fortress Biotech, developed cosibelimab (Unloxcyt), an anti-PD-L1 antibody with an intact Fc region designed to add antibody-dependent cell killing to checkpoint blockade. The FDA approved it in December 2024 for metastatic or locally advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma not curable by surgery or radiation, after an earlier complete response letter over a manufacturing site. Sun Pharma agreed to acquire the company in 2025. Company facts are from the official website and FDA approval records.
